Washington DC..
Washington DC, the place where it all goes down in the states. DC, whilst also being home to the whitehouse, the president, and some secret societies who run the world, also has a really great night spot called the 9:30 Club. It’s a super old venue i’m told, one of the longest running in DC and so we went down in a long list of all kinds of bands who have done shows there. We played one of the best shows of our tour so far to a full house before Ellie came on and took the night away. I was surprised at how many people knew our stuff in DC, it was ace to have people singing our songs with us. This was our very first time in DC so thanks everyone for making it so incredible. Oh i also forgot to say, my hotel room had in it a tiger-print bath robe. Needless to say i was walking around my room like it was the jungle book.. The DC show was extra special for us because it’s when our crew became complete. In Miami we’d met our Tour Manager and Front of house guy, Jim. And DC saw us uniting with our stage tech and driver, Chris, who would go on to be nicknamed Uncle Charles.

Welcome to Miami..
I don’t think it is possible to touch down in MIA without getting will smith stuck in your head. Rolling down the streets looking at the palm trees and everything it feels like you are in a movie set or something.. Funnily enough as we were driving to the club, my friend Khadija pointed out that we actually WERE driving through a movie set that Tom Cruise had built for a movie he was working on. The last time we came to Miami was for Ultra festival, and we also played a really fun party at a bar called Bardot. It was an absolute gas then and this time was no different. It was great to be back in Miami doing our own headline show. Thanks a lot to Mario and the guys from Grand Central and also everyone who came down to party for making the Miami show an absolute killer for us!! You Miami kids sure know how to party.

On The Road Again..
Hey folks!! This time we have are travelling around the USA doing a tour support for Ellie Goulding. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride so far. It’s our first time travelling in a van touring so we feel like it’s our real induction into the league of touring bands. Doing it right, on the road!! From the moment we hit American shores things have been a bit of a dream. We’re really excited to have been and to be going to a variety of cities we have never been to before.
Our first show with Ellie in Atlanta was our first time playing live there ever. To everyone who came down to see us perform, thanks so much for making it an incredible time for us. It was such a high note to kick off the tour. Also to everyone who came down for Ellie and heard us for the first time, hey what’s up it’s nice to meet you! We had such a blast at this show, and watching Ellie and her band totally kill it was also awesome. Atlanta is a place i would love to return to and really check out, as my prior knowledge of it has basically been limited to the olympics, Outkast and Jeezy. In fact as we were rolling around in our SUV listening to the radio we heard Jeezy was playing a week after we left. Too bad we didn’t get to stick around. I did however find an amazing coffee, which is extremely hard to find as an Australian from Sydney travelling around the USA.. So if you’re ever in the ATL, and you need a coffee, hit up the Octane cafe!! It was a shame that we had to leave so soon but hey that’s life on the road. We had to get up super early to fly to Miami for our own Headline show!!

Flood Aid..
Guys and girls we will be DJing alongside some of our finest friends this sunday. As if you need an excuse to party in Summer, but for those of you who do it’s for a good cause. All cash raised on the door is going to the victims of the QLD flooods.
